Our approach
Kapek is built on a simple idea: AI helps your team work faster, but people make the decisions. Kapek’s AI interviews, summarizes and scores candidates; your team reviews the results and decides.
We want you to be able to check what the AI does. Every recommendation shows its evidence, such as the exact sentence from a CV or an interview, so anyone can verify it.
Protecting data
No system is completely secure, but we use administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information in Kapek, including:
- All traffic to and from Kapek travels over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
- Sensitive credentials and connection tokens are encrypted at rest.
- Access to data inside a workspace depends on each person’s role.
- We work with trusted service providers that are bound by confidentiality and data processing obligations.
- We maintain incident response procedures and, where required by law or contract, notify affected customers without undue delay.
Access control and collaboration
Workspaces are organized by roles, so each person sees and does only what their job requires.
- Roles: Owner, Admin, Recruiter, Reviewer and Billing, each with different permissions.
- Unlimited seats, so every teammate can have their own account instead of sharing a login.
- Team invitations expire after 7 days.
- Hiring-manager review links are private, include only the candidates the recruiter chose to share and expire after 14 days.
Candidate rights and consent
Candidates are people, not just data. Kapek gives them clear ways to stay informed and in control.
- Psychometric tests start only after the candidate gives explicit consent.
- Candidates can ask for a human at any time, and the conversation is handed to the hiring team.
- Candidate accounts can download their data and delete their account.
- Candidates can hide their public profile from search engines.
- Anyone can send privacy requests to privacy@kapek.app.
Responsible AI
Kapek’s AI assists your team; it does not replace it. AI outputs can be wrong, so customers review them and remain responsible for their hiring decisions.
- Evidence for every recommendation: the AI cites the exact sentence from the CV or interview it relied on, so people can verify it.
- Risk review: a review step can hold automatic advancement until a person decides.
- Tests as support: psychometric results support people’s judgment and are not meant to be the sole basis for a decision.
- Salary confidentiality: the AI interviewer never reveals a role’s salary budget to candidates.
- Human hand-off: candidates can ask for a person at any time.
Communications and opt-out
Kapek can contact candidates through channels your team chooses, such as WhatsApp. Customers are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact people and for respecting their choices.
WhatsApp contacts who reply STOP or BAJA are opted out automatically and do not receive further messages through Kapek. Our Terms of Service prohibit spam and contacting people who have opted out.
Your controls
You decide who sees what, and people can manage their own data.
- Workspace owners and admins decide who has access and with which role.
- Recruiters choose exactly which candidates to share with hiring managers, through links that expire.
- Candidates can download their data, delete their account and hide their public profile from search engines.
- Requests to access, correct, export or delete personal data can be sent to privacy@kapek.app.
Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in Kapek, please email security@kapek.app with a description, steps to reproduce it and any other relevant details.
Please do not access, change or delete data that is not yours, and give us reasonable time to investigate and fix the issue before sharing it publicly. We review the reports we receive and follow up as needed.
